Quality Assurance Manager
Job Description:
Microwave Concepts is a fast growing, high technology firm located in Northern NJ. At Microwave Concepts, we design, develop, and manufacture high quality,
high performance military and commercial RF/microwave multi-function modules.
The currently available position is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to lead our Quality Assurance Program.
This is challenging dual role. The selected individual will manage our quality assurance efforts including development of quality plans, supplier quality
programs, and in-house inspection. This individual will also lead the enhancement of our microelectronic manufacturing processes through application of
six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2000 quality management system requirements
- Review and improvement of existing work instructions to enhance uniformity in the manufacturing process
- Creation of new work instructions, as required, to document our business processes
- Administration and coordination of all of our in-house inspection processes
- Preparing quality reports and other documentation for management review meetings
- Investigation and reporting of supplier, in-process and customer related quality issues
- Administration and coordination of our continuous process improvement program utilizing six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques
- Conducting training for other employees for all processes as documented in our work instructions
Job Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or related science with 3 to 5 years experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
- Must have work experience in the microelectronics industry, preferably RF/microwave technology.
- ISO 9001 or MIL-Q-9858 experience required. MIL-PRF-38534 experience preferred.
- Understanding of statistical process control (SPC)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and six sigma practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software tools

Senior RF / Microwave Test Technician
Job Description:
This position is an excellent opportunity in our Test Engineering group. Primary responsibilities are testing, tuning, and troubleshooting of complex,
multi-function, RF/microwave microelectronic assemblies. Close interaction with both Design Engineering and Manufacturing is required. Other
responsibilities include test station set-up and calibration, generation and maintenance of test documentation, and occasional assembly of engineering
breadboards and test fixtures.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of applicable RF/microwave test experience
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience with tuning/alignment of wire-bonded, MMIC-based, microelectronic assemblies, using a microscope
- Skilled in the operation and use of RF test instrumentation
- Minimum 2 years formal technical training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software tools
- Automated test programming skills are desirable

Senior Micro-Electronics Assembler
Job Description:
This position is an excellent opportunity in our Micro-Electronics Assembly group. Primary responsibilities include die bonding and wire bonding microwave
components and complex, multi-function, RF/microwave microelectronic assemblies. Responsibilities will also include the vacuum lamination of substrates
into housings, the proper cleaning and inspection of complex microwave electronic assemblies, the self monitoring of workmanship and the occasional
assembly of engineering breadboards and test fixtures.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of applicable RF/microwave assembly experience
- Excellent die bonding and wire bonding skills
- Experience in the assembly of wire-bonded, MMIC-based, microelectronic assemblies, using a microscope
- Skilled in the handling of SMT components
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow assembly diagrams
- Knowledge of plasma cleaning
- Knowledge of ESD procedures
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Applicant must be a US citizen.
